But the first worldwide SUV Jeep Cherokee XJ was produced in 1984. For over 18 years, over two million of this model event thought the initial manufacturer American motor had passed on the company to Chrysler corporation, who continued the production till 1998 and later on Daimler Chrysler moved on till 2001. It is quiet unbelievable that all the model produced within the above mentioned period was all sold in the same period without further delay. All these seem not to have corrected the transmission hesitation which has been the problem for the past models as well. Another concern might be the weak base engine of this model and the modest cargo volume, not quiet relevant for this impressive car. Well, it remains an interesting SUV model which can stand further benchmark with success.
