MG Astor 2021 is the new SUV brand of the British carmaker MG Motors built in India. The new brand has been manufactured for the Indian market and is announced to be available by September 19th, 2021 and will probably be in showroom on this same date. It is a new model that will join the lineup of the MG Motors India which already comprises the MG Hector, MG Gloster and MG ZS EV. The first is a 1.5-liter, naturally aspirated petrol engine releasing about 110 horsepower and up to 144Nm of Torque. The other which is more powerful and quiet convenient is a 1.3liter Turbo-petrol engine that bumps out 140 horsepower and 220 Nm of Torque. The former engine will be available with a manual transmission or 8-step CVT automatic where as that of the Turbo-petrol engine will be a 6-speed transmission. There is no clear information about the mileage and fuel economy of the new MG Astor 2021 as it is not yet lunched, but we do expect to get better specs with the amazing engine options newly provided.
3.MG Astor virtual personal Assistant
The MG Astor 2021 has been packed with customize technology among which the AL-enabled personal virtual assistant. The powered digital assistant is housed in a robot-like device on top of the dashboard, it claims the voice commands and delivers information form Wikipedia, latest news, gifts and other functions. Relevant aspects are the capacity of the car assistant to operate in-car controls, offering critical warning automatically and also understanding the slang language, a mixture of English and Hindi. On the dashboard is also display a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system featuring a Jio e-SIM for connectivity. An overall look of the interior shows a dual-tone fine design with three color options; Red, Black and ivory. The MG Astor has more impressive features such as the 7-inch digital cluster, digital Key parking, six-way power seat and panoramic sunroof.
4.MG Astor new safety tools
The Astor has innovated in terms of safety with its Level-2 Advance Driver Assistance Systems which seems to bring along multiple active safety features. These features include; the forward collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assistance, Adaptive Cruise control, Lane Departure Prevention and speed assistance. This Advance autonomous driving means, that is capable of taking control of steering, braking and acceleration is found in few model of SUVs but not in the common midsize lineup, but some of the safety features mentioned above are somehow present in model like the Kia Seltos, Nissan kicks, Volkswagen Taigun. The MG motors claims that the Astor will be equipped with a total of about 27 safety features and a revised number of airbags, probably 6. The Astor is hence by far, a SUV to clearly look at as it might be an upgrade version, found in the Indian SUVs market.
5.MG Astor easy navigation system
The last attractive feature of the Astor is the easy navigation system that will surely amaze everyone. In fact, the MG Astor will be equipped with an inbuilt navigation using 4D maps by Map MyIndia, Parking reservation service with Park+, a digital passport with KOINEARTH. It will also come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard just like in most of the current SUVs model.
